About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between Information Technology and business units to ensure technology systems meet stakeholder needs.
- Capture business requirements, evaluate alternative solutions, and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Manage technical solutions throughout the entire System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Facilitate meetings between IT staff and business process owners to define conceptual and logical business models.
- Define business cases, including current baseline metrics and future target KPIs, to drive strategic outcomes.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, application development, and business intelligence teams to improve business performance.
- Document "as-is" and "to-be" process models to facilitate consensus on process improvements and technology implementations.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
- Five years of experience as a Business Analyst managing IT projects to completion.
- Proven experience using various business requirement gathering techniques and process redesign methods.
- Strong understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and document complex results.
- Ability to travel when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.B.A. or other advanced degree.
- Project Management certification (PMP) or completion of formal PMP coursework.
