About the role
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements
- Decipher contractual and City policy documentation
- Lead meetings with stakeholders including Managers, Directors, and Commissioners
- Perform design analysis to incorporate requirements into functional and technical systems
- Review finalized requirements with QA, Development, and Functional Analysis teams
- Perform smoke tests prior to production deployment
- Create and distribute communications to stakeholders regarding rule implementations
- Provide support for union inquiries, agency inquiries, and grievance support
Requirements
- Experience in business requirements gathering and analysis
- Ability to perform design analysis for functional systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio
- Proficiency in SQL
- Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems
- Must currently be permanent in the civil service title of Computer Systems Manager or comparable title
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years of IT experience (including 18 months in a managerial/administrative capacity)
- OR Baccalaureate degree and 4 years of progressive IT experience
- OR High school diploma and 6 years of progressive IT experience
