Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and backlog refinement sessions
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support prioritization of requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with development, QA, and UX teams to ensure accurate implementation
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate delivered solutions
• Maintain documentation including BRDs, process flows, and functional specifications

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working in structured or regulated environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government contracts or public-sector initiatives
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with process modeling tools like Visio or Lucidchart
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles or customer experience design
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications
