Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product backlog items with a focus on IRS and regulatory compliance, including cost basis and tax form production
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are clear and aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and development teams to drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, and timely delivery
• Partner with cross-functional Development and QA teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions
• Work directly with clients to capture reporting needs, regulatory changes, and operational challenges
• Translate complex tax and securities requirements into actionable product features

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of hands-on industry experience in U.S. Tax Reporting and Securities Processing
• Strong knowledge of IRS requirements for cost basis, income, withholding, and form production
• Demonstrated success working in Agile/Scrum environments as a Product Owner or Business Analyst
• Technical expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization
• Educational background in BE, B.Tech, MCA, or MBA
• Ability to work in rotational shifts when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with back-office platforms such as BPS or BETA
