Business Analysis Head

Responsibilities

• Lead the business analysis team for a core banking modernization program, ensuring functional requirements are documented, traceable, and validated.
• Direct the elicitation, analysis, and prioritization of functional requirements across all program workstreams.
• Ensure all work units (User Stories) meet the "Definition of Ready," including functional designs, business rules, and verifiable acceptance criteria.
• Manage the formal requirement change process, documenting impacts on scope, timeline, and cost.
• Coordinate and supervise business analysts, standardizing methodologies and quality criteria for functional documentation.
• Act as the primary bridge between client business areas and technical implementation teams/vendors.
• Translate complex banking processes into detailed functional specifications for development and architecture teams.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and participate in release reviews to ensure functional completeness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis within technology projects.
• 5+ years of experience specifically within the banking or financial sector.
• Proven experience in at least 2 core banking implementations in regulated financial institutions.
• Deep knowledge of banking processes such as credit, payments, digital onboarding, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in multi-vendor environments.
• Expert use of Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
• Strong skills in BPMN, functional design (BRDs), and use case modeling.
• Familiarity with API integration models (REST/SOAP) to identify functional dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP or CCBA from IIBA).
• Functional knowledge of widely used industry core banking platforms.
