Business, Accounting and Procurement Analyst

Responsibilities

• Advise on processes and requirements for major purchases and lease agreements
• Obtain quotations and issue purchase orders within established limits
• Process accounts payable in accordance with the University Guide to Financial Management
• Liaise with internal contacts to resolve accounting, payroll, and HRIS processing issues
• Identify and analyze data discrepancies to correct errors
• Prepare detailed data analysis on high-value commodities, suppliers, and purchases
• Reconcile accounts and perform financial reporting
• Train staff on e-procurement systems, templates, and methods

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration plus a related accounting certification
• Minimum four years of progressive experience in accounts payable and financial accounting
• At least one year of recent experience with procurement transactions, including purchase order processing and contract review
• Demonstrated experience conducting competitive procurement processes
• Proficiency with financial information systems (SAP R/3 preferred)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience producing complex statistical and financial reports
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications

• A recognized procurement designation (e.g., NIGP, SCMA, OPBA, ISM)
• In-depth understanding of University procurement policies and procedures
