Bus Priority Analyst

Responsibilities

• Advance key initiatives related to the planning, design, and implementation of bus priority projects
• Contribute to proposals for bus lanes, bus queue jumps, bus bulbs, and boarding islands
• Conduct data analysis, including evaluations of bus priority projects and GIS maps
• Perform technical traffic analysis
• Conduct outreach with the general public, community boards, and other public stakeholders
• Collaborate with DOT staff and other city, state, and federal agencies like the MTA

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in community work or related activities; OR
• High school graduation and six years of experience in community work or related activities
• At least one year of experience in community-centered activities related to the duties described

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transportation or urban planning projects
• Proficiency in ArcGIS suite for geographic data collection and analysis
• Experience with traffic analysis
• Familiarity with transit-oriented street design
• Experience with CAD or graphic design software
