About the role
About the Company
Valterra Platinum is one of the world’s leading integrated producers of platinum group metals (PGMs). We safely and responsibly mine PGMs and their associated co-products at our mines in South Africa and Zimbabwe, before smelting and refining them at our own processing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Complete academic studies up to Honours level
- Participate in paid vacation work opportunities to gain practical experience
- Engage with real-world challenges at our mining and processing operations
- Participate in ongoing mentorship programs
Requirements
- Enrolled full-time at a recognized South African university
- Studying Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or Electronic Engineering (NQF 8)
- Currently in first or final year of study
- Minimum overall academic average of 65%
- For first-year applicants: Confirmation of university admission
- For final-year applicants: Intention to pursue Honours in 2027
Preferred Qualifications
- Learners from communities in and around our operations (Rustenburg, Polokwane, Thabazimbi, Burgersfort, or Mokopane)
