About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the construction, commissioning, and turnover of bulk, specialty, and ultra-low temperature gas delivery systems
- Serve as the technical owner for third-party design oversight to ensure compliance with program specifications and regulatory standards
- Partner with internal collaborators, external service providers, and suppliers to ensure safe and constructible gas system delivery
- Transition into operations engineering responsibilities to sustain the reliability, safety, and performance of installed systems
- Review and validate engineering deliverables including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and system layouts
- Perform technical evaluations regarding flow, pressure, purity, materials compatibility, and hazardous gas controls
- Support construction execution by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in field inspections
- Oversee commissioning readiness and startup activities through vendor validation and system testing
- Use BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks to confirm design integration and resolve clashes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field
- Proven experience in gas systems engineering, including specialty gas, bulk gas, or cryogenic systems
- Ability to review engineering work such as P&IDs, technical specifications, and 3D models
- Knowledge of industry standards including SEMI, ASME, and CGA
- Experience coordinating across external design firms, contractors, and vendors
- Proficiency with BIM/coordination tools like Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience overseeing gas system designs for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center facilities
- Hands-on experience with commissioning, startup, and equipment validation activities
- Familiarity with control and monitoring systems such as PLC or SCADA
- Professional certification or licensure, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license
