Building/Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct general building maintenance and repairs including plumbing
• Respond to reactive maintenance calls and close work orders within policy timeframes
• Perform risk assessments and follow pre-work safety plans
• Estimate time and materials required for repairs
• Maintain tools, materials, and professional communication with clients and vendors
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety directives

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar maintenance position
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and control drawings
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, and electrical systems
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and database systems
• Experience with CMMS and BAS
• Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance with Defense Canada
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, work on ladders, and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Building operator certificate
• Trades certificate
