Building Wiring Technician

Responsibilities

• Install wiring in building enclosures according to technical specifications and blueprints
• Review and analyze diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies
• Perform wiring and assembly of various components
• Use power tools and hand tools such as drills, impacts, screwdrivers, and grinders
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure products meet standards and identify defects
• Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts at the workstation
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety management protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in wiring, assembly, or a manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or scissor lifts
• Basic math skills for technical measurements and specifications
• Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection
