About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, messages, and emails from tenants
- Coordinate with tenants and external contractors for repairs and inspections
- Show vacant units to prospective tenants and assist with rental applications
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and tenant requests
- Perform general plumbing, basic electrical, drywall, painting, and minor carpentry
- Handle small ceramic, tile, and flooring repairs
- Oversee weekly garbage and recycling collection
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas and building systems
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as leaks or heating issues
Requirements
- Proven experience with general handyman work (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be willing to live on-site and be present during the day
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential property management or as a building superintendent
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
- Experience coordinating and supervising contractors
Benefits
- Base salary of $35,000 – $45,000 per year
