About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee general operations, maintenance, and upkeep of apartment facilities in a responsive and professional manner
- Provide customer service to tenants and act as an onsite representative for inquiries and emergencies
- Perform regular property inspections of common areas, building exteriors, and landscaping
- Ensure 24/7 availability for emergency services and after-hours calls
- Execute basic landscaping, winter walkway clearing, and general facility cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garbage removal)
- Perform small repairs such as caulking, replacing washers, and changing light fixtures
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and environmental safeguards like fire alarms
- Adhere to departmental preventative maintenance and risk management procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in building operation and maintenance
- Ability to perform small repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to be on-call as necessary for emergencies
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid skills or certification
- Experience working in a diverse environment with sensitivity and diplomacy
