About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee general operations, maintenance, and upkeep of apartment facilities in a professional manner
- Provide responsive customer service and act as a point of contact for tenant inquiries and emergencies
- Perform regular property inspections of common areas, building exteriors, and landscapes
- Conduct basic landscaping, including grass cutting and winter walkway clearing/salting
- Execute general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waste removal in halls and stairwells
- Perform small repairs including caulking, replacing washers, and changing light fixtures
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Ensure safety through regular checks of fire alarms, extinguishers, and alarm systems
- Maintain 24/7 availability for on-call emergency services
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform small building repairs and maintenance tasks
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
- Availability for on-call emergency services and after-hours calls
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in building operation and maintenance
- Valid Driver's License
- First Aid skills or certification
