Building Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials
• Conduct field investigations and develop concept designs
• Create construction documents for clients across diverse markets, including Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing
• Work on challenging projects including industrial facilities, mission-critical/secure facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities

Requirements

• 5-10 years of structural design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited program
• Experience with structural design and analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
• Proficiency with drafting and modeling software including Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, etc.)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a Structural Concentration
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status
