Building Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance and repairs for 40 buildings and 38 acres of infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and water systems including boilers, chillers, and pumps
• Inspect and maintain site infrastructure such as water lines, storm sewers, irrigation, roadways, and boardwalks
• Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors
• Provide guidance and instruction to junior team members regarding repair and maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and work orders using asset management tools
• Act as Maintenance Supervisor in their absence and provide limited on-call support when required

Requirements

• Post-secondary trade certification in at least one specialized building trade area
• Minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in building maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing repairs, HVAC operations/controls, and electrical troubleshooting
• Strong organizational, coaching, and communication skills
• Valid driver's license

• Experience using Yardi for asset management and work order tracking
