Building Operator

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute responsive and planned maintenance using BAS or facility management systems
• Perform basic tours, log readings, and respond to tenant requests
• Execute light duties including cleaning, painting, garbage removal, snow removal, HVAC, and plumbing
• Assist in preparing construction project budget estimates and schedules
• Maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships
• Review work and contracts for risk and correct deficiencies
• Assist in the purchase of building materials

Requirements

• 3-5 years of work experience in the mechanical or electrical industry
• Knowledge and experience in building automated systems and HVAC systems
• Experience working with a skid steer
• Clean Class 5 BC Driver’s License and abstract
• Ability to obtain Reliability Status Federal security clearance for military sites
• Availability for on-call standby duties and emergency out-of-hours call outs
• Ability to travel throughout the BC Interior

Preferred Qualifications

• 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certification
• Construction trade certification in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical
• Previous experience working in facilities management
