Building Operator

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and property for safety hazards and compliance regulation violations
• Monitor building systems performance and maintain environmental systems
• Respond to service requests and perform troubleshooting or repairs for HVACR, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all contract assets
• Maintain accurate information in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Ensure availability of supplies for maintenance activities
• Support contract requirements for roads, grounds, utilities, and fencing

Requirements

• Building Environmental Systems Operator II certification, Building Systems Maintenance Certificate (SMC), or equivalent
• 1-3 years of facilities maintenance and operations experience
• Basic electrical awareness and basic plumbing skills
• Understanding of Fire & Life-Safety panels
• Knowledge of heating/cooling systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to lift up to 30kg
• Valid driver's license
• Must be a Canadian Citizen with 10 years of continuous residency in Canada to obtain Secret clearance
