Building Operator

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine property and site inspections and perform maintenance across various sites in the GTA
• Complete preventive and demand maintenance tasks including chemical treatment, filter changes, and belt replacement
• Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, and life safety systems
• Monitor electrical power distribution systems and building automation systems (BAS)
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing washers, faucets, and clearing drains
• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in compliance with government codes and regulations

Requirements

• 1-3 years of facilities maintenance and operations experience
• Building Environment System certificate or a trade license (BES 1 and/or 2)
• Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical systems, and BAS
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to lift up to 30kg
• Ability to travel to various sites within the GTA
• Must be able to validate full vaccination status
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance
