Building Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Complete routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, windows, doors, and locks
• Maintain fire and life safety systems and respond to emergencies
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow removal and salting
• Inspect and repair interior lighting, HVAC, elevators, and dining equipment
• Conduct routine water management systems tests
• Assist with vendor services management and coordination
• Maintain documentation of inspections and deficiencies in workorder database
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and repair supplies

Requirements

• 3+ years of maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, elevators, and generators
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school diploma
