Building Envelope Consultant II

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and teams from inception to completion for enclosure-related projects
• Perform hygrothermal modeling and energy consumption simulations using WUFI and HAM
• Prepare building envelope design reports and recommend material assemblies
• Create CAD drawings and specifications for new and remedial construction
• Oversee construction phase services including field observation, inspection, and documentation
• Conduct forensic investigations and condition assessments for failing building enclosure systems
• Provide design-assist services and enclosure design recommendations to minimize failures
• Manage client services including technical discussions, progress communication, and project close-out

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, or Building Science
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA)
• 6+ years of building enclosure consulting experience
• Proven experience managing staff and projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
• Experience with building science modeling software (WUFI, THERM, HEAT3, or energy modeling)
• Ability to travel for field investigations and site observations
• Valid driver's license and good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Industry-recognized professional certifications
