About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems
- Perform routine lodging inspections for air conditioning, furnace, generators, and water management systems
- Execute service work on specialized building systems including hydraulics and machine servicing
- Conduct routine generator tests per building code
- Detect malfunctions through audio and visual observation
- Assess and correct systems to prevent failures and identify necessary resources
- Manage vendor services including building escorts and service coordination
- Maintain documentation of inspections and deficiencies in the workorder database
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in facility or plant engineering and maintenance
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and generators
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or electrical systems
- Full understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of state and local safety and building codes
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED experience
- EPA 608 Type 2 License/Certification
- Trade school diploma
- 1st Class Stationery Engineering license
- Minimum 5 years of Journeyman level experience
