Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control, and building management systems
• Conduct site inspections of roofs, mechanical, and electrical rooms
• Troubleshoot and repair facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical
• Comply with EPA, OSHA, and ASHRAE safety guidelines
• Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades and facility improvements
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Assist in coordinating construction projects and natural disaster recovery efforts

Requirements

• 2 years of field experience or equivalent technical training
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Ability to work at heights and climb 28 ft. ladders routinely
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing)
• Ability to use mobile devices or laptops for work order systems and email
• Ability to work the 2pm-10pm shift, Monday-Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies
• CFC training and certification
• Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations
• Experience with Building Automation Systems
