Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain complex systems including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple properties
• Maintain records of inspections and work orders for each site
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior Mobile Maintenance Technicians
• Partner with property managers, contractors, and vendors to resolve tenant issues
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance and coordinate contractor activities
• Follow safety protocols and maintain safety logs for all managed buildings
• Communicate professionally with teammates, leadership, vendors, and tenants

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Basic knowledge of laptop/phone applications and Microsoft Outlook
• Familiarity with fire/life safety equipment and procedures
• Ability to read blueprints and understand code requirements
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• CFC Certification
• Relevant engineering and trade licenses
