Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems
• Address service requests including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues as needed
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies and assist with preventive maintenance
• Follow company safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers

Requirements

• 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and work order systems
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
