About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and other mechanical equipment
- Fire, monitor, and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipment
- Record operating data including temperatures, pressure, and fuel consumption via building automation systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on jet bridge systems, automated conveyor belts, and automated car wash equipment
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, pumps, motors, and hot water heaters
- Assist with electrical repairs and maintain overhead commercial doors
- Perform heavy lifting and work in confined spaces, tunnels, shafts, and at heights
- Perform seasonal tasks such as removing snow from sidewalks and walkways
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in building facilities maintenance
- Ability to work 3rd shift
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
- Valid Iowa motor vehicle operator's license
- Ability to pass a post-employment physical, drug test, and background investigation for airport access
- Must obtain a Low Pressure Boiler Operator Certificate within 12 months of employment
