About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair building system issues
- Perform general repairs including doors, locks, ceiling tiles, flooring, fixtures, and signage
- Replace lamps, ballasts, and lighting components
- Perform minor plumbing repairs including leaks and clogged drains
- Assist with HVAC maintenance including filter changes and belt replacements
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and fire/life safety system inspections
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and coordinate vendor access
- Maintain common areas, restrooms, and corridors
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Ability to read basic technical manuals and work orders
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues
- Physical ability to operate hand tools, work on ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience
- EPA 608 and HVAC certifications
