Building Enclosure Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Perform roofing, waterproofing, and building enclosure field observations and testing
• Prepare thorough and accurate field reports related to construction activities
• Assist with field assessments, design, and observations of construction or testing activities
• Coordinate installation of waterproofing systems with architects, owners, and contractors
• Assist with product submittals, shop drawings, and substitution requests
• Participate in data collection and documentation during forensic investigations

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of progressive building inspection and construction observation experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Building Science
• Six years minimum construction field experience
• Three or more years of building enclosure consulting experience
• Knowledge of California building codes and building materials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD
• Valid California Driver’s License and reliable automobile

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as NCRA, ICC, RRO, RRC, RWC, or ABAA
• Experience as a certified EIFS inspector or Certified Thermographer
• Experience managing staff and projects
