Building Automation Controls Designer

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet project requirements.
• Select hardware designs from standard libraries for flow diagrams, sequences of operations, and electrical schematics.
• Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings, equipment schedules, and submittals for installation.
• Assist in the loading, commissioning, and validation of system and network-level controllers.
• Gather field changes to create as-built drawings and software documentation.
• Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
• Provide site-specific training for owners and operators on the total system.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience installing or commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems.
• Working knowledge and experience using Metasys Tools, including RAC, CCT, SCT, and Visio.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Advanced computer skills, specifically with computer-related drafting tools.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC field.
• Experience designing or evaluating mechanical/electrical building systems or control systems.
