Builder in Residence, Ghost

Responsibilities

• Build and ship reference implementations, sample apps, and runnable demos that showcase Ghost's unique capabilities.
• Maintain and expand integrations with the modern agent stack, including Claude Code, Cursor, MCP servers, and frameworks like LangGraph or Vercel AI SDK.
• Create high-quality technical content such as blog posts, READMEs, tutorials, and videos to drive developer adoption.
• Engage with the community on GitHub and Discord to unblock developers and provide product feedback to engineering.
• Act as a primary storyteller for Ghost, explaining the value of MCP-native and ephemeral databases to the developer ecosystem.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience shipping public software (open source, side projects, or developer-facing tools).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including understanding transactions, indexing, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with the modern AI agent stack (e.g., using Claude Code, Cursor, or building with LLMs in the loop).
• Strong technical writing skills across various formats like tutorials and documentation.
• A strong bias to ship functional code quickly over seeking perfect polish.
• Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Preferred Qualifications

• A track record of maintaining open source projects with active users.
• An existing following in the AI developer community (GitHub, X, YouTube, or Discord).
• Previous experience in Software Engineering, Developer Advocacy, or Solutions Engineering at an infrastructure company.
• Deep familiarity with the AI tooling ecosystem, including vector databases and agent frameworks.
