Builder I

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal and aluminum components, including doors, panels, latches, and hinges, into ambulances according to technical specifications
• Read blueprints and perform shop math to layout and fabricate parts and assemblies
• Use various pneumatic and power tools such as grinders, sanders, rivet guns, and saws
• Maintain production goals and set work priorities with minimal supervision
• Ensure compliance with safety, 5-S, OSHA, and EPA standards
• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste according to company contingency plans
• Enter OEE information into digital control documents

Requirements

• One year of experience as a door builder
• Ability to read, write, and communicate instructions in English
• Proficiency in using power tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring devices (e.g., tape measures)
• Strong basic mathematics skills for shop applications
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
• Ability to work in environments with high heat (up to 105 degrees), noise, and dust
