Build Specification Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the car’s documented technical definition and build specifications across all events
• Define component fitment, timing, and configuration for each car and event
• Act as the central interface between Design Engineering, Production, Assembly, and Race Operations
• Liaise with production teams regarding part availability, manufacturing timelines, and delivery risks
• Ensure correct part quantities are available and allocated across cars and events
• Communicate build specifications and UIIL information clearly to all stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• Experienced engineer with a strong understanding of a modern Formula 1 car
• Ability to own and develop a role with minimal guidance
• Experience working cross-functionally
• Strong proactive communication skills
• Understanding of production processes including composites, machining, and assembly at a system level
