Build & Release Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software releases, including release cuts, branching, tagging, versioning, and dependency management
• Build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
• Manage the artifact lifecycle, including versioning, signing, storage, and promotion through Artifactory
• Develop and enhance the internal Release Management portal by integrating CI/CD systems and artifact repositories
• Partner with engineering, validation, and TPM teams to coordinate release readiness and resolve build issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite)
• Strong Git experience including branching, tagging, and release workflows
• Experience with artifact management systems like JFrog Artifactory or Nexus
• Experience designing, building, or maintaining internal tools or portals
• Strong troubleshooting skills across build and dependency issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Front-end development with React and TypeScript
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of embedded/automotive release processes and ASPICE workflows
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk
