Budget Analyst/Mission Resource Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide yearly financial execution support to HQ STARCOM S4/6
• Draft and review execution plans, provide financial reports, and process purchase requests within DEAMS
• Perform financial analysis for current and future year budgets
• Brief customers on funds execution, obligations, and expenditures
• Coordinate with stakeholders on funds execution and CCaRS reconciliation
• Support data entry and analysis using CCaRS
• Execute support in accordance with Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) protocols
• Conduct HQ STARCOM funding and programming actions, including POM/UFR working groups
• Conduct Future Year Defense Program (FYDP) budget reviews to identify mission requirements
• Draft, track, and reconcile funding documents such as AF Form 9 and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• 5+ years of Budget Analyst or Resource Advisor experience at the MAJCOM, Wing, or Squadron level
• Familiarity with fiscal management tools including DEAMS, CCaRS, ABIDES, FM Suite, or CRIS
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a SCIF environment

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, or STARCOM
• Experience with US Space Force weapon systems and missions
• Experience providing strategic advice and technical guidance to senior leaders
