BU Purchasing MRO Professional

Responsibilities

• Lead, negotiate, and source non-production suppliers including indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures
• Develop and manage regional Indirect Supply Commodity Strategies
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure competitiveness regarding quality, cost, and technology
• Drive cost reductions and productivity aligned with global purchasing objectives
• Review and place purchase orders for non-production requirements
• Support local buying functions such as MRO/Stockroom and Plant Office Equipment
• Track MRO improvements via scorecards and maintain constant communication with Plants and Global Indirect Purchasing

Requirements

• College Degree in Business or an equivalent field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Purchasing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collect, maintain, and interpret data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement
• Proven ability to develop cost models and cost estimating tools
