BS/MD Physician Advisor

Responsibilities

• Evaluate candidacy of high school students for BS/MD programs including GPA, test scores, and extracurriculars
• Edit BS/MD personal statements and supplemental essay questions
• Collaborate with students to create customized BS/MD school lists
• Prepare students for admissions interviews
• Advise students through the application process with consistent check-ins and deadline management
• Manage family expectations and build rapport with applicants and their families
• Partner with college advisors to provide unified student support

Requirements

• MD physician (attending level preferred, residents considered)
• Must have attended a U.S. direct medical program (BS/MD, BA/MD, BS/DO, or BA/DO)
• Experience working with medical school applicants
• Expertise in BS/MD and/or BS/DO admissions
• Experience editing college and medical school applications
• Ability to work via Zoom and Google Meet
• High availability to work with at least 10 students in an application cycle
