About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage broking responsibilities for a book of new and recurring annual policies and individual project placements
  • Negotiate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing with underwriters for construction professional liability products
  • Lead communication efforts with underwriters and producers via email, telephone, and written correspondence
  • Assist or lead front-end sales and RFP efforts, including the development of proposals and submissions
  • Run and interpret financial analytical models to support placement decisions
  • Maintain and develop strong business relationships with producers and senior underwriting contacts
  • Review binders for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper coverage

Requirements

  • Valid Insurance broker’s P&C license
  • 5-7 years of minimum experience in insurance broking
  • In-depth knowledge of the design and construction industry
  • Expertise in professional liability insurance products
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills
  • Proficiency in Excel for spreadsheet creation and data manipulation
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Risk Management or Insurance
  • Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and advanced selling skills
