Broadcast Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the station, including news operations, equipment, and computer-based IT systems
• Install and maintain broadcast and IT equipment at studio facilities, transmitter sites, and remote broadcast vehicles
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs or workarounds as needed
• Perform routine security updates and reboots of broadcast servers
• Contribute to technical documentation for installed equipment
• Perform occasional field work for remote productions and minor building-related maintenance

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in broadcast engineering or a related field
• Solid understanding of computer hardware, network technologies, and Microsoft Active Directory
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicles
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and use hand/power tools
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
