Broadcast Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and implement technical workflow solutions for News, Production, and Creative Services
• Perform hands-on installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of newsgathering and media production systems
• Administer media production applications and infrastructure to ensure operational reliability
• Develop and maintain detailed system documentation for troubleshooting and operations
• Provide technical support, incident response, and clear communication to stakeholders
• Ensure all systems comply with NBCUniversal cybersecurity policies and standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in broadcast or systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Radio, Television & Film, or a related field
• Expertise in media technology including SDI, NDI, and ST-2110 video infrastructures
• Strong knowledge of media production applications, NRCS, NLE, and media asset management
• Proficiency in core IT fundamentals, including networking, domain management, and virtualized/cloud compute
• Ability to work onsite in Needham, MA, and willingness to work outside standard hours or weekends as needed
