Broadcast Ingest Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform ingest, preparation, and technical quality control of broadcast content, including local, syndicated, and paid programming.
• Review and manage digital content to ensure technical standards are met for on-demand playback.
• Coordinate with TEGNA stations to ensure timely distribution of short-form and long-form content.
• Prepare content to specific technical requirements based on provided format sheets.
• Verify and update digital linear feeds, file transmissions, fiber feeds, and downlinks.
• Maintain the Crispin Record Scheduler and utilize Wide Orbit Traffic System for reports and digital logs.
• Utilize electronic equipment and software, including video/audio routing, file servers, and multi-channel automation systems.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Basic understanding of television production and broadcast operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365, specifically Excel.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve broadcast issues immediately.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
• Willingness to work onsite in Charlotte, NC.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays for a 24/7 operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Crispin Automation or Loading Dock.
• Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere.
• Experience using the Wide Orbit Traffic System.
