Broadcast Engineer and Livestream Director

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Broadcast Engineer and Director for all College livestream events, including athletics, academic ceremonies, and special events.
• Plan and execute all technical aspects of live productions, including camera setup, audio mixing, graphics, encoding, and distribution.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and supervise a student workforce to support live broadcast operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast equipment and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with the College Cinematographer on storyboarding, shot lists, and visual narratives.
• Provide technical support for podcast initiatives, including recording, editing, and distribution coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Professional experience in broadcast engineering, livestream production, or a related field.
• Experience hiring and developing student employees.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work nights and weekends aligned with the academic and athletic calendar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a higher education setting.
• Familiarity with podcast production workflows and digital audio tools.
• Experience with storyboarding, video pre-production, or collaborative creative development.
