Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform engineering design tasks for standard bridges, walls, and minor structures including culverts and inlet structures
• Coordinate with CADD teams to develop plans, specifications, and estimates for preliminary and final designs
• Identify technical requirements and implement engineering principles to develop innovative solutions
• Apply appropriate design standards and codes to ensure full compliance with contract documents
• Participate in technical meetings to strategize solutions for complex or unique engineering problems
• Develop technical differentiators and schemes for key project pursuits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in structural or bridge engineering design
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, PGSuper, Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or OpenRoads Designer
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel as required by the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Design-Build or other alternative project delivery methods
• Experience designing multiple bridge types in both concrete and steel
