Bridge and Highway Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate various forms of heavy highway equipment
• Perform concrete spill, railing, and joint repairs
• Clean and paint steel structures
• Use equipment to clean and grade ditches, drainage structures, and highway shoulders
• Conduct repair work including fences, signs, and litter debris removal
• Provide emergency response for bridge maintenance activities
• Utilize advanced MOT training and ensure safe equipment use

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Minimum one year of roadway experience
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record
• Ability to lift and drag 50lbs repeatedly
• Ability to drive standard shift vehicles
• Ability to obtain ATSSA certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL
• Bridge, highway maintenance, or construction skills
• Boating experience
