Responsibilities

• Execute CIMMYT’s breeding pipeline, ensuring efficient development, advancement, and dissemination of germplasm and products
• Foster collaborations across germplasm development, molecular breeding, rust phenotyping, and seed systems
• Contribute to experimental design, trial, and nursery data interpretation and analyses
• Increase genetic gains in breeding pipelines through formulation, testing, and identification of impactful seed varieties
• Manage regional data using the Enterprise Breeding System (EBS)
• Lead a team of research technicians and assist technical stations staff in implementing best practices
• Enhance research visibility through the publication of high-quality journal articles

Requirements

• PhD in breeding or a closely related field
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in biometrics, statistics, quantitative genetics, or applied molecular breeding
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural, multidisciplinary environment
