About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all breakfast menu items, including hot and cold offerings
- Create and follow approved breakfast menus to ensure consistent quality and variety
- Wrap, label, and date all baked and breakfast items according to production schedules
- Ensure food quality meets client requirements and accommodate special dietary needs
- Maintain proper equipment operation, safety, and sanitation
- Comply with all Food Safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food presentation, freshness, and portion control
- Supervise and support night-shift or early-morning kitchen staff
- Assist with inventory rotation and effective use of breakfast food stocks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of combined cooking and baking experience in a hotel, institutional, or camp setting
- Proven experience preparing breakfast items and baked goods for large groups
- Valid Food Safety Certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, early-morning environment
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience
