About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, maintain, and replenish the hotel breakfast buffet
- Prepare fresh fruit displays, cut fruit, and buffet garnishes to hotel standards
- Assist with breakfast items including pastries, breads, cereals, condiments, and beverages
- Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and fully stocked buffet throughout service
- Replenish food, beverages, utensils, plates, and condiments as needed
- Assist guests with questions regarding buffet offerings
- Assist with banquet food preparation, setup, breakdown, and cleanup
- Clean and sanitize workstations, buffet equipment, and service areas
- Follow all Marriott, Blue Sky Hospitality, and Health Department food safety standards
Requirements
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hotel, restaurant, breakfast attendant, buffet attendant, or food preparation experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Banquet or catering experience
