About the Company

Ando is a messaging platform where AI agents can take on work alongside humans—and help teams work better together. We’re rebuilding Slack from the ground up around two core ideas: durable memory and agents as first-class participants. Our visual identity is inspired by the architecture of Tadao Ando, focusing on minimal, unobtrusive design that creates a sense of peaceful silence.

Responsibilities

• Redesign and expand upon existing brand materials, including logotype and palette
• Create delight in details across motion, interaction, and sound design
• Pay close attention to colors and typography
• Choose and liaison with third-party contractors for sound, shader, and illustration talent
• Translate generative conversations with the founder into deep reference gathering and execution
• Help drive core company and user narratives
• Work closely with product designers

Requirements

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating high-quality work
• High degree of curiosity with new tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Paper, Unicorn)
• Ability to work across various design disciplines including motion and sound
