About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects
- Develop and execute branch business plans to maximize growth, customer retention, and acquisition
- Conduct sales calls and establish personal referral networks to achieve business objectives
- Advise customers on products and strategies that meet their financial objectives
- Monitor sales and service performance against plans to identify gaps and implement action plans
- Resolve complex customer issues and ensure adherence to national service standards
- Lead the implementation of new programs, products, and processes within the branch
- Manage unit operating expenses in accordance with forecasts and bank policies
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in a professional banking or financial services environment
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and industry trends
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a retail environment
- Working knowledge of branch operational processes, technologies, and performance metrics
- Familiarity with applicable banking regulations, audit standards, and compliance policies
