About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law
- Oversee staff, owner drivers, and fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance
- Coach and mentor the team to meet operational KPIs and safety standards
- Champion a safety-first culture by leading safety initiatives and investigating incidents
- Manage the branch profit and loss (P&L), focusing on cost control and financial performance
- Coordinate workshop and fleet maintenance activities with third-party contractors
Requirements
- Proven experience managing operational teams within a logistics or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of fleet management and vehicle maintenance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L and drive financial results
- Experience overseeing complex operations while ensuring strict safety and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, contractors, and senior management
