Branch Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop crane layouts and rigging drawings for lift plans using custom lifting tools
• Create layout drawings for heavy machinery moving projects with gantries, slide systems, and modular trailers
• Create drawings for heavy transportation projects including over-the-road hauling and barge roll-on/roll-off
• Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Mathcad, and RISA to develop heavy lift and transport solutions
• Perform field walk-down assessments to develop equipment lists, identify issues, and create technical sketches for bids
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and Superintendents on job sites from the office or in the field
• Design custom lifting or support tools per AISC, ASME, and other industry standards
• Serve as field technical liaison for complex projects, risk management, and safety evaluations

Preferred Qualifications

• Civil or Mechanical degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Effective communication skills
